Ledger & Son have just completed a full rewire of my home, including installation of an alarm system. To say we are pleased is an understatement. The quality of their workmanship was exceptional. On a daily basis, the team arrived early in the morning and worked hard throughout the day. Despite the property being unoccupied, at the end of each day, it was left clean and tidy. Ruri’s ability to identify potential problems, for example the location of light switches, plug sockets and extractor fans, and suggest constructive solutions, no doubt saved us time, money practical difficulties in the future. I rarely put pen to paper writing reviews but these guys genuinely deserve it and I would have no hesitation recommending their services to family and friends. Indeed, we have already done so.

Ruri and Arthur have just finished a complete rewire of my three bedroomed house. It took them 8.5 days. I am very pleased with the outcome. I had been dreading having the work done as I had listened to friends saying how much disruption could be caused in my home and why was I bothering to have it done.

I am glad to say they were wrong.

Both father and son worked efficiently together, and completed the work with as little disruption as possible. They consulted me at each step and gave me advice over some of the things I had overlooked. At no stage was I left without electricity for more than a short while.
For a woman living alone and having no experience of how the job would go I can only thank Arthur and Ruri for their attention to detail and making me feel comfortable with the finished product.

We called on Ruri and his Dad after getting their name from the Which? Local site after reading the positive feedback customers had left there. We had problems getting an electric oven fitted – it needed extra wiring and a new fusebox. Ruri and his Dad arrived on time, were professional yet friendly and did an excellent job. Our house dates back to 1795 with bits tacked on at other times. It was therefore not the most straightforward to wire, but Ruri and Arthur did not seem at all daunted. We really felt that they respected our house at all times and worked really hard to cause as little disruption to the fabric of the house as possible – i.e. working round awkward bathrooms, rather than ripping out tiles as other electricians seemed to suggest would be necessary!

We were so impressed with the way Ruri and Arthur were so diligent and hardworking over a long project (4 weeks). They even finished a few days early (which was very much appreciated as our first baby was due 2 days after they were due to finish!).

Where other electricians had emphasised the mess that would be caused, we were pleasantly surprised at how tidy Ruri and Arthur kept the house. When we moved back in they had done such a good job at clearing up!

Ruri would keep us informed every step of the way and would ring to ask us about things as he went along. This meant we still felt in control, and really felt he patiently listened to what we wanted, while at the same time he was willing to give suggestions which we really appreciated. He was so helpful in suggesting workable alternatives when he came across problems and we felt we could trust his ideas as a very experienced and capable electrician.

Overall, Ruri and Arthur did a fantastic job and at a really reasonable price. We would whole-heartedly recommend this friendly, approachable pair and were so glad our friends recommended them to us!

We have recently had a full house re-wire undertaken by Ruri and Arthur. Their work ethic and competency was exceptional and we were kept fully informed at all times of the detailed progress of their work. Disruption was minimal and respect for the property was observed throughout. At the end of each day, our property was left in a clean and tidy condition with all electrics usable.

We recently had a new consumer unit and full safety test and earth bonding. The work was carried out exactly to quote, efficiently and on time. Ruri was most helpful, tidy and explained what he was doing and why. Very Good service.

Ruri and Arthur came to replace our consumer unit which is 37 years old, nothing was a problem for them, Ruri explained what they were doing at each stage and what they need to achieve to gain the certificate. Hours later after installing the new consumer unit, checking the lights and sockets everything was ok, there were two faults on the sockets and two faults on the lighting which would have caused problems at some stage. I will recommend these two guys to everyone and any future work I will call them first !

Right from the beginning when they came round to diagnose the initial problem, through to the end when Ruri popped round to explain the new system, we couldn’t have hoped for a better job. During the work being carried they kept us up to date with how they were getting on and made a concerted effort to clean up as they went along.
